Everything You Always Wanted to Know about Crystal Quartz and Its Practical Applications

A Beautiful Gift from the Earth to You

Quartz is the second most abundant mineral in the Earth. It occurs in a variety of colors, including yellow, brown, pink, purple, and gray. The clear, colorless variety, called Crystal Quartz or Rock Crystal, forms exceptionally beautiful crystals that are sometimes used in jewelry to imitate diamonds. It has many fascinating physical and metaphysical qualities that can be applied in myriad ways to enhance your physical and mental well-being and help you achieve your goals.

Physical Properties of Crystal Quartz

Crystal Quartz is found all over the world. It is composed of silicon dioxide, one of the most plentiful compounds of the Earth’s crust. It grows as six-sided crystals, forming six-sided pyramids at the end of each crystal. The base of the crystal is milky, becoming clear at the tip. Quartz crystals often grow in clusters, in company with other minerals.

Quartz can form huge crystals—the longest ever found was 20 feet long and weighed 48 tons!

The Astrological Meaning of Crystal Quartz

Pure crystal quartz is very clear or translucent, so its association with light and clarity is immediately evident. As the crystal grows upward to increasing clarity, it symbolizes our own striving for perfection as we grow toward ever-higher levels of consciousness.

Crystal Quartz represents the astrological properties of both the Sun and Saturn, two opposites of light and darkness. Saturn is the ruling planet of Capricorn (December 21–January 19). After December 21 (the Winter Solstice) the days grow longer while the nights grow shorter. That date represents the transition from dark into light that we must all pass through on our journey from the dark night to awakening.

From Darkness Comes Light

How can we have hope that such a transition is possible, that we may one day emerge from our darkness? We have only to observe how an ordinary chemical compound forms in the darkness of the Earth and grows into the perfect manifestation of light, clarity, and beauty. From darkness comes light! From humble beginnings comes magnificent beauty. And so shall it be in your own life.

It is only with a clear and calm mind that you can understand your earthly experience and come to terms with why you are here and how you want to live out your time in this life. Crystal Quartz can help you achieve that clear, calm mind and lead the way toward what is important to you.

5 Ways to Harness the Power of Quartz Crystals

1. As objects of beauty to delight the eyes and soul

I love to surround myself with my favorite crystals in my home, especially in my work space. I feel nourished and uplifted whenever I turn my gaze to my crystals to give my eyes a rest from the computer screen. I keep a crystal ball behind the screen to create a harmonized energy field. Place a crystal wherever you are inclined to take a contemplative rest and recenter your thoughts.

2. As part of your personal altar

Having a designated spot for an altar in your home is a wonderful way to invite the divine into your daily consciousness. It brings sacredness into your space and serves as a focal point for your awareness toward what is most important for you in your life.

An altar is a very private and personal place of beauty and reverence. Place on your altar objects that have special meaning for you or that particularly appeal to you for their beauty: a Buddha figure, flowers, photographs of loved ones, and of course a crystal. The crystal can serve as a magnifier for your prayers and setting your intentions and goals.

3. Program your crystal to attract your dreams and goals

The Law of Attraction teaches that in order to allow the fulfillment of your desires to flow to you, you need to be open, receptive, and on the right frequency to receive it. That means you need to stay focused on what you want or the solution of a problem, and not on what you don’t want or the problem at hand.

To use your crystal to help you attain a specific goal, sit quietly holding it in your hand. Strongly picture your goal and all of its qualities in detail. Imagine that you have already achieved it. Feel all the good feelings you will experience when you have reached your goal. As you feel those positive feelings, your frequency will rise and connect with the frequency of the thing that you want, allowing it to flow into your life.

4. Reduce electro smog

Electro smog (radiation from the computer) is very unhealthy, especially if you spend long hours on the computer. It will leave you feeling sapped of energy. Just as green plants clean the air in your home, a quartz crystal can protect you from electro smog and also help you concentrate. I keep a small cluster of quartz crystals on my desk, and also tape a single crystal to the computer tower. This has really made a difference in my energy level.

5. Deepen your meditation

No matter what type of meditation you practice, you need to empty your mind and relax into your inner sanctuary—your place of connection with the divine, and your source of inspiration and creativity. The perfectly aligned and balanced structure of a quartz crystal will help you achieve a deep state of relaxation and focus.

The most common way to meditate using crystals is to lie down and place one or several of them on your body. For mental clarity, place one on your third eye (between your eyebrows). You can place crystals anywhere on your body where you want to discharge negative energy, free up blockages, and bring in healing light.

How to Create a Crystal Energy Field

Another way of working with crystals to deepen the meditative state and achieve physical balance is to place them around you in a specific pattern as you lie on the floor. You will feel a positive effect in just a few minutes.

I feel deeply refreshed and balanced after lying in a crystal energy field for 20 minutes. In my seminars people who are skeptical about the power of gemstones and crystals are quickly won over after lying in a crystal energy field and feeling its unmistakable effect.

Here are three ways to create a crystal energy field using six large crystals:

1. For Recharging and Revitalizing

As you lie on the floor, place two crystals on each side of your body, one at the top of your head, and one at the bottom of your feet. Make sure each crystal is aligned with the tips pointing toward your head, and the crystal at the top of your heading pointing upward.

2. For Stabilizing and Clearing Your Aura

You will have a very different effect if you turn all the crystals in the opposite, downward direction. This orientation will feel different and will flush out accumulated negative energies, open up energy blockages, and stabilize your auric field.

3. Balancing and Calming

I call this the six-star pattern. Place the crystals as follows:

Head crystal: point upward. One crystal on each side of the body, at about waist level: point downward. One crystal next to each knee: point upward. One crystal at the bottom of your feet: point downward.

Feel free to experiment with different placements of the crystals around your body and enjoy the different sensations you will experience.

Crystals can help us with certain aspects of our lives. People have used green stones to help attract financial prosperity.

In generally, People use crystals in some ways as follows:

They have been used in industry for decades (as many minerals have been). Many people have used crystals as healing tools. They can be carried in ones pocket, placed on the body as a stone layout, or used in an elixir. (Not all minerals are safe to make elixirs out of.) Healing crystals are given as gifts to people who are ill. People also use healing crystals for protection or to bring prosperity to ones life. Many people like crystals strictly for their beauty and use them as decorative stones. Some use crystals in Feng Shui, especially in China. Others are staunch collectors of fine or rare crystal specimens. And some buy fine crystals as investments.

For just about any aspect of your life that you want to heal, or enhance, there is probably a stone that can help. What if you are looking for a stone to help with a physical ailment? Here are some basic guidelines to help you choose a crystal or mineral to help with a particular health issue.

Crystals have been used in healing for centuries. From a simple headache cure to a strengthening elixir, crystals can bring harmony, health, balance and even prosperity. Different crystals have different energies, and come in all shapes and sizes, which can be confusing when trying to choose crystals for the first time.

Spending time browsing a well stocked, friendly crystal retailer is the first step in finding appropriate crystals to use.

Crystal Energy

The best way to decide whether a crystal is right for you is to “feel” its energy. Hold the crystal in your energy receptive hand (usually the left) and take note of how the crystal makes you feel. Do you feel a pleasant tingling sensation? Does the energy feel light and happy, or dense and unpleasant? Pick crystals that feel right for you and give off high vibration energy.

Use Your Intuition

A crystal that is meant for you will often make itself known, perhaps by catching your eye above all the others, or giving you a sense of “knowing” when you hold it. If you find yourself in a crystal store or at a crystal fair, you may find yourself surrounded by numerous crystal choices. How do you choose just the right stone? The first, and best, thing you can do is to allow your body and your inner knowing to guide you to the perfect stone. Just walk around and see what you are attracted to. If you are looking on the Internet, you can use the same process. Look through the various pages of crystal and minerals and see what catches your eye. Usually what you are drawn to is what you need. Then you need to trust what your intuition is telling you, and sometimes that is the hardest part. But trust yourself, you know what you need.

But what if your intuition is attracted to a stone, but your eyes find it less than appealing? Your body may be drawn to the particular mineral that stone is made of. Perhaps there is another piece of that same mineral that you will like better. For example, say you find yourself attracted to citrine (yellow/golden quartz) but you aren’t 100% happy with the particular stone you first picked up. It may be too big, too small, out of your price range or maybe you just don’t like the way it looks. You can look for other crystals that are citrine. Or maybe citrine in a different form, like a tumbled stone would be more appealing. Perhaps a pyramid shape, or a sphere would work. Sometimes our bodies need a particular mineral (like citrine) in whatever form, so looking through different forms of the same mineral is OK. And sometimes we are called to work with one particular stone or crystal, no matter what. You just can’t seem to take your eyes off it. Or you can’t put it down. Then you need to trust that is the stone for you.

What is the Purpose of Your Crystal?

The way in which you intend to use your crystal will have bearing on the type and shape of crystal you buy. Here are a few starting points.

Crystal Shapes

Crystals come in many forms. Pick according to what you want to use the crystal for. Use a small tumble stone if you are going to be putting the crystal on the forehead or carrying it around with you. For focused healing, choose a larger crystal with a point. If the crystal is going to be held a lot, a palm stone shape might be most suitable.

Crystals in Chakra Healing

If you are using the crystals to balance the chakras, then color is important. Each chakra is represented by a particular color and crystals are chosen accordingly – red for the base chakra, orange for the sacral chakra, yellow for the solar plexus chakra, green for the heart chakra, blue for the throat chakra, indigo for the third-eye chakra, and white or purple for the crown chakra.

The Properties of Crystals

If you wish to use the crystal for a specific healing purpose, then you will need to research the properties of different crystals. Invest in (or loan) a good encyclopedia of crystals, which contains clear pictures and lists the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual properties of each stone. Crystals each have different energies, which can help heal on different levels. Most will have multiple uses, and can range from cures for headaches, arthritis, procrastination or depression, to insomnia, lack of abundance, or attuning to the higher realms of Spirit.

Crystals in the Home

Crystals can also be placed around the home, to increase vibration frequency and clear away negative energy. For this purpose, you would need to buy larger stones, possibly in their rougher, natural form. Again, research the different properties and make your selection accordingly.

Always remember, however, that alternative therapies such as crystal healing are not a substitute for proper medical care in the case of serious illness or injury.

While different establishments require specific items, certain items are standard when it comes to glassware. Here is a comprehensive list of glassware for those looking to open up a bar or restaurant.

Drinking glasses: These may be the most simple glassware because they can be used to serve water, beer, iced tea, soda and more. These items look a lot like pint glasses and hold a similar amount of liquid. The average person is looking to drink around 16 oz. of water per meal and these glasses give them that option. Whether you have a restaurant, bar or nightclub, there should always be an option for water using versatile drinking glasses.

Wine glasses: With the ever-growing popularity of wine drinking, especially while dining, these items are essential for any restaurant or bar. For quality purposes bars should have both red wine and wine wine glasses. Though these items may seem very specialized, they can also be used to serve water at dining establishments for a more classy approach.

Candle holders: Ambiance is extremely important when it comes to socializing or dining. That’s why candle holders are vital glassware for setting the mood and making sure customers leave happy. Candle holders are sometimes used to hold business cards as well and occasionally as ashtrays if you are looking for versatile glassware items.

Candy jars: These glassware items may seem strange to have as restaurant glassware. However, they have many different uses, most notably for storage purposes. Candy jars also serve as valuable glassware items for holding random items like business cards, candy or matches. Any of these products are often used in restaurants and bars. Candy jars can also be used as centerpieces in a table design.

Crystal glassware adds an elegant dimension to any function and is usually laid out on special occasions, i.e. formal functions. But who is to dictate that you cannot use crystal glassware everyday? If you are the sort to indulge in luxurious champagne or wine, sip port with a delectable cheese platter, drink sherry by the fire place or partake in delicious liqueur or even an after dinner brandy, there is absolutely no grounds to not delight yourself to use crystal glassware.

Let us look at some crystal glassware that can be used on a daily basis.

Champagne coupe/ saucer

Since time immemorial, champagne has been the primary drink for celebrations such as weddings, anniversaries and other momentous events, and champagne glasses are always the glassware of choice. Champagne coupes are considered the more conventional vessels, with its shallow circular bowl; the modern champagne flute has a longer stem with a taller yet slender body. After a long hard day at work, take out your favorite crystal champagne flute, pour yourself some bubbly and enjoy.

Types of wine

Crystal wine glass

During dinner parties of a more formal vein, it is expected to serve red wine with red meats and white with fish and other white meats. Contemporary designs make a distinction between red and white wines, although crystal wine glasses can be utilized for either wines. A typical crystal wine glass measures approximately 6 inches in height and about a little over 2 inches across.

Identifying Port

Port crystal wine glass

Time-honored port crystal glassware possess an aperture which is flared, and a typical height is about 5 inches with a width of slightly over 2 inches. Latter day versions are elevated and bigger by comparison. Port is identified as a sweet-tasting wine, and is usually enjoyed by the accompaniment of a varied cheese platter with crackers, and dessert. But port can also be taken on its own. Its taste may be a little strong, so sip gently.

Features of liqueur

Crystal liqueur glassware

After the dessert and cheese course, liqueur is often served to guests. This type of crystal glassware is petite by proportions, and holds just enough liquids for a few dainty sips. The measurement is 4 inches in height and 2 inches in width. Liqueurs come in various flavors, such as coffee, fruits, herbs, spices and even chocolate.

Other types of crystal glassware

Crystal sherry glass

Sherry is indeed a delectable treat, and can be consumed before or after a dinner gathering. Drinking sherry is made even more memorable if taken from a conventional crystal glass, which is built quite similar to a port glass, the only difference is that a crystal sherry glass is much loftier and has a larger bowl. An ordinary crystal sherry glass is roughly 5 inches in height and measures 3 inched across. Sherry is primordially made of white grapes, and can be either sweet or dry by comparison.

Crystal brandy snifter

Last but not least is the quintessential crystal brandy snifter. This type of crystal glassware is held by the bowl, so that the brandy is kept warm and the aroma will gently be siphoned. Conventional crystal brandy snifters measure about 4 ½ inches tall and 2 ½ inches in width. Brandy is normally enjoyed after dinner. Popular types of brandy include Cognac and Armagnac.

Colored Glassware-Stemware for Everyday Use

Glassware comprises drinking containers, tableware, such as crockery, and flatware employed to set a table for dining. Stemware is drink ware that are supported on stems above a foundation. It is normally manufactured from glass, but could also be made from ceramics or various types of metals. Stemware comprises cordial, cocktail, wine glasses, and also champagne flutes, goblets and chalices, and also brandies snifters. Martini and margarita glasses are also categorized under glassware.

Many glassware or stemware possess chemical components which comprise what are termed as absorption middles. This would be the reason for them to be ‘choosy’ in their assimilation of perceptible light waves. They soak up certain quantities of the evident continuum, while replicating others. The regularities of the continuum which are not soaked up are either mirrored back or sent for our physical examination. This is how color comes to rise.

Thus, color in glassware may be generated by the tallying of electrically charged ions that are harmoniously dispersed, and by the impetuousness of delicately diffused atoms. Ordinary soda-lime glassware for instance, appears to not have hues to the untrained eye when it is lean.

Colored glassware and stemware has a distinction of its own. Stylish or capricious, lucid or dense, fragment thin or bottle chunky, colored glass is an aged design, reborn for contemporary times. Since glass was first invented by the Egyptians 4 millenniums ago, drinking vessels made from it have been mostly translucent with colored glassware coming in and out of fashion. In earlier times, when wine was often fogged up with suspended elements or bits, colored glassware acts as the perfect camouflage. As expertise made wine clearer and more lucid, people sought to observe its clarity and see-through glassware came into fashion. Conceivably because we have faith, as our beverages now contain gem-like precision, we’re consuming them from colored or hued glassware once more.

Presented in a multi-hued of colors including azure, ocher, rose, emerald, turquoise, purple and golden, some bar glassware has a colored foundation that mirrors up into a clear basin; others are entirely permeated with color. Wine glasses may well possess colored stalks and clear bowls, or just the contradictory. Most huge retail chain outlets and many specialty shops and catalogs proffer a variety of colored glassware and stemware. All can augment and broaden the horizons of any barware anthology, and put a new weave on entertaining activities.

Perhaps in recent times, the most graceful colored glass is the Roxanne range ingenuously created by Lalique. First intended as lucid glass in the 1960s, the crystal wine vessel was reintroduced a while ago completed with yellowish-brown, emerald, azure, or turquoise basin on an extensive, clear stalk that possesses a bow-like twist before it connects to the bowl. It does not come cheap, but well worth the investment.

Whatever your funds or preferred hue, colored glassware or stemware makes today’s entertaining more vibrant. Through colored glasses, a retro model, today’s glassware and stemware is taking on fresh hues; luxurious gemstone characteristics are the rage when accumulating your china cabinet.

Why Buying Your Own Event Glassware Is Better Than Using Vendors

Whenever a special event is held, one of the main necessities is some form of glassware. Champagne Glasses, Wine Glasses, Drinking Glasses, Rocks Glasses, Candle Votives- the needs are endless when it comes to events. Many party planners, event holders, and people like yourself depend on caterers, vendors, or renting out glassware for these special events. Although renting glassware for your special event seems convenient, the pros of buying your own seem to outweigh strongly.

The most obvious reason why buying your own event glassware is price. For those who hold numerous events a year, or event just 2-3, know the cost of having fine glassware at your event adds up. Not only do caterers and vendors over price glassware and charge deposits for ones broken by guests but you end up paying a ton more in the end than you would have if you just purchased the glassware yourself.

Have you ever seen the glassware vendors provide? Although high-quality glassware is offered by some, it is priced high above your average glasses. Other than that, you are left with worn out, scratched, faded, and slightly yellowish glassware that therefore affects your event in a major way. With all of the effort put into such an event, the last thing you need is your guests sipping out of old, chipped, or scratched glasses. Buy buying your own glassware sets for events, you don’t have to worry about quality. Many companies offer high-quality glassware in several ultra-chic, elegant designs, all at wholesale, wallet-friendly prices. For example, it would be cheaper to purchase 100 elegant hand-blown, colored champagne flutes for your events, than to rent 100 glasses for your 3-4 events per year. Imagine how much more life beautiful stemware would add to your event’s reputation!

So next time you being planning your event, party, wedding, or other special evening, thing first before you sign up for a vendors glassware rental. You can just as easily have your very own set of high-quality, classy glassware at a much lower price. The best part? Your guests will never know how much you saved!

Discount Glassware offers a wide selection of Event Glassware such as Blank or Customized Champagne Flutes as well as Wine Glasses, Shot Glasses, and more!

Cheap is Not a Bad Word With Cheap Glassware

When we hear the word cheap, we automatically think of it being something bad. However, cheap is not a bad word. In fact, during times of recession, it is a good word because it can keep families going and companies afloat. Cheap food can feed a family, cheap cars can get people to their jobs and cheap products can keep families happy. In the 1980s they said greed was good, well in the 2000s, cheap is good.

Cheap glassware is something you should be looking at as an individual or a business. If you want to find a gift for something that you can personalize with their name, or to memorialize an event like a wedding, then cheap glassware can do that. You can have your child’s name imprinted on glassware that celebrates their graduation, or you can celebrate the union of two people with some nice cheap glassware that has their names on it and the date of the wedding. This way, you can provide a nice gift but you won’t have to break the bank to do it.

If you are the owner of a small business, something like cheap glassware can be used as a promotional tool. When you have a promotional event like a sale, you want to show the people who showed up that you are happy that they did and that you want to have them as customers in the future. A good way to do this is with glassware that you give away. Each customer gets one and they take it home with them. Then, that glassware sits in their cupboards and is used again and again for years. Each time the glassware is used, the customer will see your logo and company name, as will anyone around them. This form of subliminal advertising them helps to create a brand awareness on your customers mind. So, even years after they got the glassware, they may come back to you for something they need. Promotional items have this unique ability to provide sales years down the road, even after you have forgotten that you gave out the promotional items so long ago. It is one reason why so many companies want to use promotional items as part of their marketing plan and it is a good reason why you should think about doing the same as well.

Discount glassware is not something bad. It is not going to break when you hold it, it is not going to leach chemicals into your drinks and it is not going to look of poor quality. They are excellent glasses that can help you make a great gift for a friend or loved one, and they are a great way for a company to advertise themselves to customers, while showing customers they are thankful for their business. All it takes is knowing what you want and what you want to give. There are many options available for glassware, so whatever you may want, you are sure to be able to find.

You can buy them in online sites too so you can take advantage of their bulk prices. Usually, bulk prices are slashed off with such a big amount so it would be a good idea to grab this chance to save up on costs.
